The RXS-DR-26LP radar measures the velocity of an approaching and receding target. Range information is also measured for these targets. Information on the moving targets is presented in a telegram sent over the serial line output or through a switched output. When using a switched output, the radar simply switches an open collector if the speed of an object is above a set threshold.
Through a control pin, the radar can be periodically switched on and off. Ultra-fast booting (few ms) and fast settling of the radar allows pulsed operation, lowering the supply current to roughly 10mA.
